Scope
These Terms of Service govern your access to the SyncBank website, trial flows, purchases, and your use of the SyncBank product. By accessing the site, requesting a trial, or purchasing or using SyncBank, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the website or product.
Using SyncBank
SyncBank is self-hosted software that helps you sync financial data from supported sources to tools you choose, such as Actual Budget, Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable, and CSV.
You are responsible for your own environment, devices, backups, configuration, and the third-party accounts you connect. You must only use SyncBank with data, bank accounts, and workspaces you are authorized to access.
Open-source code and commercial access
Parts of SyncBank are distributed under an open-source license. Those code licenses continue to apply to the source code itself. Paid purchases may additionally cover product access, license-key based activation, bundled assets, updates, or support entitlements described at checkout or in the app.
Unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing, purchases are for your own internal use and remain subject to the activation limits, plan details, and feature availability shown at checkout or in the product.
Payments and trials
Prices, billing intervals, and included features are shown on the website or checkout page at the time of purchase. If you buy a recurring plan, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge you on the recurring basis shown at checkout until you cancel.
Free trials, promotional offers, and launch pricing may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Unless required by law or expressly stated at checkout, purchases are non-refundable once access has been delivered.
Third-party services
SyncBank depends on third-party services, APIs, and products, including payment providers, open banking providers, Docker, and the destinations you connect. Their availability, pricing, rate limits, policies, and technical behavior are outside our control.
You are responsible for complying with the terms and permissions of those third-party services. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, rate limits, or data issues caused by those services.
Acceptable use
You may not use SyncBank to:
- Break the law or violate the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Interfere with or abuse the website, payment flows, trial system, or support channels.
- Resell or redistribute commercial access, license keys, or support entitlements except where a separate written agreement allows it.
Disclaimers
SyncBank is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every environment, or that every third-party integration will always work.
SyncBank is a software tool, not a bank, broker, accountant, or financial adviser. Nothing in the product, website, or support responses is financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, use, data, or business interruption arising from or related to SyncBank.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to SyncBank will not exceed the amount you paid us for the product in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be lawfully excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
Termination
You may stop using SyncBank at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the website, trial system, or commercial services if you materially breach these terms, misuse the service, or create legal or operational risk.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination - including payments due, disclaimers, liability limits, and intellectual property provisions - will remain in effect.
Changes and contact
